Material requirements for universal couplings
Release Date: 2018/11/23来源:Wuxi Ever-Power Cardan Shaft Co., Ltd.Views

The cross bag of the universal coupling (drive shaft) is a forging, and the plug is generally a casting. The most commonly used material is: 42CrMo, other materials include 45 steel, alloy steel containing Mn and Ti.

First of all, it belongs to the fork head casting, and the casting must meet the following requirements: SWC, SWP type universal joint cross shaft

  1. Casting mechanical properties

  2. Casting must not affect the mechanical properties of sand, defects, pores, shrinkage, etc.

  3. Casting annealing, shot peening treatment.

  4. Quenched and tempered HB240-280.

  XNUMX. Carry out heat treatment.

  6. G16 balance.

Secondly, the spline shaft and sleeve need to be quenched and tempered HB 240-280.

  XNUMX. Assembly technology and requirements:

  1. When assembling, deburr and clean all parts

  2. When assembling, welding must ensure that the middle two forks are on the center line of the bearing hole on the same plane, and the allowable difference should not exceed 1°

  3. After the coupling is assembled, the spline pair should slide freely and the joint should rotate flexibly.

  4. When assembling, the surface should be clean. Except for the flange end face and the end face key with anti-rust grease, the others should be painted with anti-rust primer once (no paint).

  5. When packing, it should be leveled and clamped tightly.Another thing that should not be ignored is the technical content of the workers in the processing of the lathe and the couplings and other factors.
